Very expensive...

oh my.  Contractors make more than lawyers.  Framing only $15,000...two weeks of work.  Lordy lordy. Ok...well, what can you do...I can't do it myself.  On a brighter note...the place looks awesome!!

The framing is pretty much all done and the 13 ceiling fans have to go in now.  Each room gets one so that the exchange of air is pure to avoid the cats potentially getting a flu.  Next week the electrician will come and do his stuff.  He needs to put a new service to the Inn...what we have now doesn't even run a heater.  Soooo excited...thinking I might put a fishtank in the wall!!

Then to now...the raw vision.

Just a bit of history…
The cat boarding concept was brewing for many years…since 1999 to be precise.  I wanted to find a career I could do while staying at home with my kids…and it had to involve animals.  I researched cat boarding…but was cut short when space would not match the concept I had.  So went into pet grooming and wasn’t totally happy.  15 years later my husband was kind enough to allow my vision to grow…and I had the perfect location!
…an old 2 stall VERY well built barn on our property!
Let the construction begin!!

We converted a 2 stall barn...630 square feet on the bottom...have not started converting the top yet.

The framing was a HUGE job!!  All the rooms and angles made things more difficult.  Three walls of the barn is in concrete as you can see by the white on the walls on the photo below.  So every room is different!

Looking forward to the progression!!

And the end result…
It turned out perfect!!
